Transmission & Drivetrain
In-house. Done right.
Slipping, shuddering, vibration, or a clunk under load can come from the transmission or another drivetrain component. We test the complete system and handle automatic and manual transmissions, clutches, differentials, driveshafts, CV axles, and transfer cases.
The work.
Transmission issues range from simple fluid services to full rebuilds. We start with a proper diagnosis to understand exactly what’s going on before recommending anything.
- Transmission diagnosis & serviceScan-tool testing, road testing, fluid condition checks, service, repair, and replacement options.
- Clutch repairClutch, release bearing, hydraulic, and flywheel concerns diagnosed before parts are recommended.
- Differential & transfer caseLeaks, noise, engagement problems, and fluid service for differentials and four-wheel-drive systems.
- Driveshafts & CV axlesVibration, clicking, torn boots, worn joints, and damaged shafts repaired at the source.
- Repair, rebuild & replacementWe compare internal repair, rebuild, and replacement choices against cost, availability, and vehicle condition.

If you’re seeing any of these, book a diagnostic and we’ll find the root cause before recommending a repair.

Warranty & pickup
Tested, warrantied, and explained in plain English when you pick it up.
What’s actually
at stake.
Transmissions rarely fail without warning — they give you weeks or months of small symptoms first, and the cost of listening early versus late is often the difference between a fluid service and a rebuild. Most "sealed for life" units are sealed for the life of the warranty, not the life of the car.
- Burnt fluid means clutch material is circulatingThat dark, sharp-smelling fluid is friction material that has already worn off. Servicing early stops the cycle.
- Many faults are electronic, not mechanicalSolenoids, speed sensors and TCM issues cause slipping and harsh shifts. Diagnosing properly avoids a rebuild you never needed.
- Overheating kills gearboxesTowing and stop-start traffic cook fluid. An auxiliary cooler is far cheaper than a rebuild.
